Argentina, The United States, Uruguay, and Yugoslavia reached the semi-finals.
In the first semi-final Argentina beat The United States 6-1. In the second semi final Uruguay also beat Yugoslavia 6-1 to reach the final.
Uruguay beat Argentina 4-2 in the final to become the first winners of the World Cup.
