This month Eiichi interviews Chris about university
Part 1
Part 2
Today’s interview topic is ‘university’.
OK. I’ll try to answer as best I can!
Did you go to university?
Yes I did. I went to the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside in the East Midlands in England.
What did you study?
I studied Criminology, which is the study of crime and criminal behaviour.
Why did you study that?
When I was at secondary school I wanted to become a police officer. I’ve always been interested in crime too, so that’s why I decided to take that course.
Was it difficult?
I suppose it was a little, but it was really interesting too. I still enjoy reading about criminal psychology and sociology even now.
If you hadn’t have studied criminology at Lincoln University, what would you have done?
Well my second choice was to study Sports Science at Loughborough University, so I guess I would’ve done that.
That’s very different to criminology!
Yes it is! I had two thoughts about career choices during secondary school. The first was joining the police and the second was working in sport. When I got my final school grades, I still had both options, but I decided to choose criminology.
What did you enjoy most about going to university?
Well, I made some great friends and we had a really good social life too. I lived with 5 people in a big house and we had a great time everyday! Of course we studied hard too…sometimes.
Thanks for that Chris. I’ll be back again soon with a different topic to ask you or Matthew about.
No problem Eiichi. I’ll look forward to it!
