What did you have for breakfast this morning?
I very rarely eat breakfast, but I did today. I had some yoghurt and a cup of tea.

What flavour yoghurt was it?
It was a mango yoghurt, and it was very nice!

What are you going to have for lunch today?
I’m not sure yet. I’m going to meet Matthew for lunch today, but we haven’t decided where to go yet.

What’s your favourite food?
Probably lasagna, or curry. I like many kinds of foods, but I think they are my 2 favourites.

Is there anything you don’t like?
I’m not so keen on natto, and I’m not a big fan of raw octopus either.

Do you like Japanese food?
Yes very much. There are many delicious foods in Japan, but I think my favourite at the moment is soba.

What about wasabi? Are you a fan of it?
Of course! I love foods that are spicy and hot, so I’m definitely a fan of wasabi.

Can I say ‘wasabi’ in English?
Yes you can. Sometimes you might hear it called ‘Japanese horseradish’, but it’s OK to use ‘wasabi’ as an English word.
